Payment Changes for December 💳

This month, we’ve had some changes in how tuition payments are processed due to updates from our credit card processor, Authorize.net, which is temporarily incompatible with our Studio Helper software. As a result, you’ll need to visit our website to make your payment. Here’s what to do:

• Visit: texasmusicdiscovery.com/pay-your-tuition
• Choose: The payment option that matches your invoice total (e.g., for 1 student, 2 students, etc.).
• If your total is different: Use the “Other Amount” link at the bottom of the page to enter your invoice amount manually.

Late fees of $15 will begin on Monday, December 16, unless you have made prior arrangements with us. If you’re having difficulty paying online, call or text us at 903-385-4149, or arrange to meet Ms. Melissa at Music Discovery to process your payment.

Winter Recitals ❄️

Our Winter Recitals continue tomorrow, Saturday, December 14, with two performances. Recital Group 4 is at 2:00 p.m., and Recital Group 5 is at 4:00 p.m.

The finalized assignments for Groups 4 and 5 are below. It is now too late to make changes to the program, but if something happens and you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible.

Recitals will be held in the sanctuary at New Beginnings Church, the same building where lessons take place. Please note:

• Pianists: Arrive 10 minutes early.
• Guitarists/Uke Players: Arrive 20 minutes early for tuning and sound check.

Dress is “going to church.” Holiday hats and accessories are welcome. Santa Claus will be at both recitals and would love to take pictures and chat after each performance!

Briarcliff Concert 🎵

We are thrilled to announce our next performance at Briarcliff! Join us on Monday, December 16, at 11:00 a.m. for a festive musical treat.

• Arrival: Performers should arrive no more than 15 minutes early.
• Guests: Due to space constraints, please limit yourself to two guests. Little siblings are welcome but must remain closely supervised by a parent at all times.
• Dress: “Going to grandma’s” attire is perfect for this performance.
• Bring: Your music (if needed) and your instrument (if applicable).

We’re excited to share that starting next week, we’ll begin posting videos from our five Winter Recitals on our YouTube channel. These videos are a wonderful way to relive the recitals and share the performances with family and friends who couldn’t attend.

During the Winter Break, we’ll also start posting our Virtual Recital videos. These special performances will debut throughout the break, giving you even more opportunities to enjoy the incredible talent of our students.

Staff Updates 🎶

Thank you to everyone for your flexibility last week while I was sick. I was devastated to miss the first weekend of recitals. I still have a number of make-up lessons to do, and I’m hopeful we’ll get those all taken care of early next week.

Ms. Patty was under the weather as well, but we’re happy to report that she’s feeling better and departed on her cruise this morning. She still has a couple of make-ups to complete when she returns. If you have an outstanding make-up, Ms. Felicia will be reaching out to schedule it soon, if she hasn’t already.

We also want to wish Patty and Lewis a very happy 40th wedding anniversary! Here’s a beautiful picture of them celebrating this special milestone:

What’s New at New Beginnings ✝️

New Beginnings Church meets every Sunday morning for Bible Study at 9:30 a.m., Coffee and Donuts at 10:00 a.m., and Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. This week’s sermon, “God’s Indescribable Gift”, will be based on the scripture 2 Corinthians 9:15:
